Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking reliable 1099 Independent Contractor Delivery Drivers for a dedicated delivery route operating from Ontario, CA to the Santa Barbara area . This opportunity operates 6 days per week and is best suited for drivers who own a high-roof extended cargo van, box truck (16 ft or smaller), or qualifying vehicle with an enclosed trailer .
Pay:
$300-$450 per day Vehicle Requirements Accepted vehicles: High-roof extended cargo van — regular/standard cargo vans will not qualify Box truck 16 ft or smaller Vehicle with a minimum 6 ft × 10 ft enclosed trailer may be considered Not accepted: SUVs, pickup trucks without a qualifying enclosed trailer, minivans, or regular/standard cargo vans. Vehicle must be reliable, properly maintained, and capable of safely handling the required cargo volume and weight. Driver must have a valid driver's license, current vehicle registration, and required insurance. Cargo & Physical Requirements A typical route consists of approximately 30-40 large/heavy boxes , with individual packages potentially weighing 150+ lbs . Drivers must be physically capable of safely loading, securing, transporting, and unloading heavy packages. Proper equipment and/or assistance may be required for heavier items. Duties Pick up assigned packages in Ontario, CA and complete deliveries throughout the assigned route toward the Santa Barbara area. Drivers are responsible for safely scanning, loading and securing cargo, following assigned routes and schedules, maintaining accurate delivery status and proof of delivery, and communicating with dispatch regarding progress or delivery issues. Drivers are expected to provide professional customer service, follow all traffic and safety requirements, and maintain their vehicle in safe operating condition. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Must own or have reliable access to a qualifying vehicle and be able to safely handle the required delivery volume and package weight. Candidates should have strong communication and time-management skills and be reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently .
