We deliver, order, merchandise, and manage Little Debbie and other McKee Foods products for established retail customers. RJ Distributing uses pickup trucks with enclosed trailers for its routes. We do not use box trucks or cargo vans.

This position combines:

Pickup-truck and enclosed-trailer operation Product delivery Retail merchandising Shelf stocking and product rotation Inventory management Ordering and invoicing Customer service Route sales support Independent problem-solving This is not a simple drop-off delivery position. The employee will eventually be expected to manage an assigned route with limited supervision while maintaining RJ Distributing's standards for safety, service, product quality, merchandising, organization, and professionalism. Primary Responsibilities Safely operate a company-provided full-size pickup truck while towing an enclosed product trailer Back, park, turn, and maneuver the pickup-and-trailer combination in retail receiving and loading areas Complete basic pre-trip inspections of the truck and trailer Deliver McKee Foods products to grocery stores, convenience stores, and other retail accounts Arrive at major retail accounts during their designated receiving hours Walk each store and inspect shelves and displays Determine product and inventory needs Enter orders using a company phone, tablet, or handheld device Pull products from the trailer for each account Check products into stores and complete invoices accurately Stock shelves, displays, and secondary product locations Rotate products according to freshness and date requirements Remove and process returned, damaged, or outdated products Build and maintain promotional displays when authorized Keep shelves and displays clean, organized, properly stocked, and professionally presented Maintain a clean and organized truck and trailer Communicate professionally with store managers, receivers, department employees, and other retail personnel Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned accounts Identify opportunities to improve product availability, shelf placement, displays, and sales Report inventory, vehicle, trailer, customer, or equipment problems promptly Complete route paperwork and end-of-day responsibilities Assist with loading, unloading, warehouse work, route coverage, and other operational needs when required Pickup Truck and Enclosed Trailer Requirement Prior experience driving a full-size pickup truck while towing an enclosed cargo trailer is strongly preferred. Applicants should be comfortable with or capable of learning: Connecting and disconnecting an enclosed trailer Inspecting the hitch, safety chains, electrical connection, tires, and trailer lights Safely backing a trailer Maneuvering through tight parking and receiving areas Allowing additional space for turns and braking Parking a pickup-and-trailer combination safely Protecting company equipment and product while on the road Box-truck, step-van, cargo-van, or ordinary passenger-vehicle driving experience can be helpful, but it does not replace experience towing and maneuvering an enclosed trailer. Candidates with limited trailer experience may still be considered if they have a strong driving record, good judgment, and the ability to learn safely during training. Schedule and Start Times Start times vary and are typically very early in the morning. Many major grocery and retail accounts begin receiving deliveries around 5:00 or 6:00 a.m. Depending on the assigned route, employees may occasionally need to report as early as approximately 3:00 a.m. so they can prepare, travel, and arrive during store receiving hours. Daily start and finish times may vary based on: Assigned route Store receiving schedules Number and size of deliveries Traffic and travel time Store conditions Promotions and display activity Holidays and seasonal demand Product volume Unexpected route or equipment issues Applicants must be comfortable working early mornings and remaining on duty until the assigned route and related responsibilities are properly completed. Routes are performed throughout Central Delaware during each scheduled workday. Compensation and Growth Starting pay is $19

• 24 per hour based on relevant experience, work history, driving ability, trailer experience, merchandising or sales experience, and demonstrated job performance.

New employees will begin with a training and evaluation period before receiving full independent responsibility for an assigned route. Employees who successfully complete training may become eligible for monthly performance bonuses. Bonus eligibility and amounts may consider factors such as: Attendance and punctuality Safe operation of company vehicles and trailers Route completion and productivity Sales performance and account development Product returns and inventory control Merchandising and display quality Ordering and invoicing accuracy Store-manager feedback Communication and problem-solving Care of company equipment Compliance with company procedures Overall individual and business performance Monthly performance bonuses are not guaranteed. Bonus eligibility and amounts are determined by individual performance, company standards, and business results. Employees may also receive compensation and responsibility reviews as they demonstrate the ability to manage a route independently, serve retail accounts professionally, control inventory and returns, and contribute to the company's growth.
