LOCAL MOVING FOREMAN & DRIVER

$25-$30/Hour + Overtime + Tips + Performance Incentives Full-Time | 40+ Hours | Dania Beach, FL Responsibilities Leading and supervising the assigned moving crew Conducting the pre-job customer walkthrough Communicating the scope of work with the customer Assigning responsibilities to helpers Proper furniture protection, packing and handling Supervising loading and unloading Ensuring proper truck loading and shipment protection Furniture disassembly and reassembly Monitoring job-site safety Preventing damage to homes and household goods Operating company box trucks safely Completing Bills of Lading, inventories and required paperwork accurately Maintaining communication with Dispatch/Operations Managing job-site quality control Addressing customer questions professionally Inspecting equipment/truck condition Ensuring the crew leaves the residence and truck clean Reporting damages, discrepancies or operational issues immediately Education Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered. Experience Requirements Previous professional moving, furniture delivery, furniture installation, logistics, or comparable hands-on experience is strongly preferred. Previous experience leading a moving crew is highly desirable. Candidates should be comfortable handling furniture, loading trucks, assembling and disassembling furniture, working with moving equipment, communicating directly with customers, and completing job-related paperwork. Candidates with strong leadership experience from another skilled-labor environment may also be considered if they demonstrate the ability to learn Solomon & Sons' moving procedures and quality standards.
