This role involves operating a Class A commercial vehicle to transport goods efficiently and safely across designated routes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining safety standards, and adhering to all transportation regulations. This position offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment with a focus on reliability and customer service. Responsibilities Operate a Class A commercial vehicle, primarily hauling dry van freight. Safely navigate and drive across various routes, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain accurate logs of hours driven, mileage, and cargo documentation in accordance with DOT regulations. Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation activities. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise. Ensure cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit. Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly. Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Proven experience operating dry van trailers as a Class A Driver preferred. Clean driving record with no recent violations or accidents. Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards related to commercial driving. Ability to operate heavy vehicles for extended periods and handle physical demands of the role. Strong communication skills and professionalism in dealing with clients and team members. Dependable, punctual, and committed to safety and quality service.
