Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious CDL Dump Truck Operator specializing in Plumbing & Septic projects. In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks, transporting materials, debris, and equipment to and from construction sites. Your expertise will ensure efficient site operations, adherence to safety standards, and the successful completion of plumbing and septic system installations. Responsibilities:
Safely operate commercial dump trucks with a focus on plumbing and septic construction sites, adhering to all federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures Transport materials such as gravel, soil, pipes, septic tanks, and other construction supplies to designated sites efficiently Transport excavated materials, dirt, debris, and spoils from plumbing and septic job sites to designated dumping facilities Follow assigned routes and schedules for timely completion while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations Conduct routine maintenance checks on trucks and heavy machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance Perform pre and post trip inspections on dump truck Assist with excavation, grading, utility locating, and site preparation tasks using heavy equipment as needed Assist with loading and unloading materials on job sites Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate logistics for excavation, utility installation, and site cleanup activities Maintain accurate logs of material deliveries, equipment usage, work orders, and site activities in compliance with safety regulations
Skills & Requirements:
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) (Must have for a minimum of 3 years) Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on construction or utility projects Previous experience with dump truck operation in plumbing, septic, or excavation is highly preferred, but not required Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintaining heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, and Caterpillar machinery Skilled in utility locating techniques essential for safe excavation around underground plumbing or septic lines Strong understanding of federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures for DOT vehicles Ability to operate heavy machinery including excavators, backhoes, loaders, and grading equipment efficiently Comfortable using an electronic dispatching system Strong attention to detail and time management skills Excellent communication and customer service skills for coordinating with team members and customers on-site Join our team if you're eager to drive your career forward while contributing to impactful plumbing & septic projects!
