Job Description

PODS is seeking a Local Class B CDL Driver to safely deliver and pick up portable storage containers for residential and commercial customers. In this hands-on Transportation & Logistics role, you'll operate a CDL-B truck on local routes, perform vehicle inspections, and ensure containers are properly loaded, secured, and placed. You'll interact directly with customers, provide reliable, courteous service, and complete all delivery documentation accurately. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL Class B truck to deliver and pick up PODS containers on local routes Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and follow all DOT and company safety standards Load, unload, and securely position containers using company equipment and procedures Provide professional, customer-first service at residential and commercial locations Complete electronic logs, delivery documentation, and route paperwork accurately Communicate with dispatch and team members to resolve issues and keep routes on track Maintain a clean, reliable vehicle and promptly report maintenance needs Support teammates and contribute to a safety-focused, high-accountability culture Required Skills CDL Class B truck operation Local route navigation and planning DOT safety and compliance knowledge Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance Loading, unloading, and securing containers Electronic logs and delivery documentation Customer service and communication Time management and scheduling Use of liftgates and material handling equipment Problem-solving in the field
