Job Overview Tanner's 24 Hour Towing & Recovery is looking for a dependable, hardworking Tow Truck Driver to join our team. Because we provide 24-hour towing and roadside assistance , this is not a traditional 9-to-5 position . Applicants must understand that towing requires flexibility and availability outside of normal business hours. Drivers are expected to work scheduled daytime hours as well as participate in our on-call rotation throughout the week and every other weekend . On-call drivers must be available to respond to towing, roadside assistance, accident recovery, and other service calls as they are dispatched. We are looking for someone who is reliable, professional, safety-conscious, and willing to work as part of a team. Prior towing experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic and is willing to learn. Duties Operate rollback and other tow trucks to safely load, transport, and unload vehicles. Respond to towing, roadside assistance, accident recovery, winch-out, and other service calls. Participate in the weekly on-call rotation and every-other-weekend on-call schedule . Be available and prepared to respond promptly when scheduled to be on call, including nights, weekends, and after normal business hours. Safely secure vehicles and equipment using proper chains, straps, tie-downs, and other required equipment. Perform vehicle recoveries while following appropriate safety procedures. Inspect assigned trucks and equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns. Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of assigned trucks and equipment. Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, law enforcement, repair shops, and other parties encountered while performing calls. Accurately complete required paperwork and document towing and recovery calls. Follow all company policies, traffic laws, DOT requirements, and applicable safety regulations. Requirements Valid Georgia driver's license with a clean driving record. CDL is preferred but not required for all positions. Must be comfortable driving larger trucks and must be able to operate a manual transmission . Must be dependable and able to report to work and respond to calls as scheduled. Must be available for on-call shifts during the week and every other weekend. Must understand that hours may vary depending on call volume and that towing is a 24/7 operation, not a typical 9-to-5 job . Ability to safely load, unload, secure, and transport vehicles. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and safely perform the physical duties associated with towing and recovery. Must be able to remain calm and professional when dealing with customers, accident scenes, law enforcement, and stressful situations. Must be drug-free and able to pass required drug testing. Towing or recovery experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who is dependable, willing to learn, and has a strong work ethic. We are looking for someone who understands the nature of the towing industry and is willing to be part of a team that keeps our operation running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week .

Pay:

$18.00 - $30.00 per hour
