Class A CDL Driver - Full-Time Sod Delivery Specialist We are seeking a professional, safety-conscious, and customer-service-oriented Full-Time CDL Driver to transport and deliver turf grass. Because you will deliver directly to homeowners and contractors, you will serve as the face of our business. We need a driver who takes pride in representing the company through polite communication, professional behavior, and careful driving. This role involves loading fresh sod directly from regional farms and making deliveries to customer sites, with routes requiring a driving radius of up to 200 miles (home daily).

Local and regional farm-to-market deliveries (may need to deliver up to 200 miles per day; home daily).

Key Responsibilities Customer Relations:
Provide friendly, professional service during residential drop-offs; communicate clearly with homeowners and landscapers to confirm placement.
Residential Navigation:
Drive commercial trucks effectively through tight subdivisions, cul-de-sacs, and compact residential streets without damaging property.
Equipment Operation:
Safely unload and place sod pallets exactly where customers request, using a truck-mounted piggyback forklift (e.g., Moffett or Princeton).
Farm Pickups:
Travel to various regional turf farms to inspect and load fresh sod safely.
Load Security:
Properly secure sod pallets using straps or chains to prevent shifting during transit.
Position Requirements Customer-First Attitude:
Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor when representing the business.
Valid CDL:
Commercial Driver's License (Class A strongly preferred due to trailer towing).
Clean MVR:
A pristine Motor Vehicle Record with no recent major traffic violations or accidents.
Forklift Experience:
Proven experience operating a piggyback forklift.
Exceptional Maneuvering Skills:
Masterful backing up and maneuvering in high-traffic or compact neighborhood areas.
Pay:
$1.00 - $10.00 per hour Expected hours: 1.0 - 40.0 per week
