Job Description

Join the Johnson Battery Company (JBC) team as a Driver / Installer! You will begin each day at the shop in Zebulon.
Duties:
Make local deliveries Perform scheduled maintenance, repair and installation of industrial batteries and chargers Perform battery washes Clean, organize and maintain work area and company vehicle Complete all work orders and time sheets accurate and in a timely manner Complete warranty information, as required Participate in required safety program and work in a safe manner Strong, independent work ethic; self-starter (must be able to self-manage your day) Exhibit professional appearance and conduct while providing an excellent customer experience Maintain a safe driving record Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Occasionally loads, unloads, stacks, and secures freight in a manner to prevent injury, damage or shifting while maximizing space Maintain electronic logs of working hours, following state and federal DOT regulations as needed Ensures that electronic bills of lading are filled out properly and freight is labeled and marked correctly Inspect and counts freight, notating proper overages, shortages and /or damages May perform other duties as necessary / subject to change as needed
Experience:
Must be able to pass a drug test and DOT physical with at least a 12-month medical card Proven work experience as a truck driver Ability to focus, prioritize, and multi-task to help meet our customers' needs Excellent time management, organizational skills, and communication skills (written and verbal) Must be legally authorized to work in the US Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.) •We understand that candidates will not meet every single desired qualification.
