What You'll Do:

Drive company trucks to designated locations safely and accurately

Complete and maintain records as required by the company and government regulations

Obtain receipts, signatures, and other documents as required

Pick up and deliver product to customers as needed in a courteous and professional manner

Load or assist in loading trailer with materials with attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Unload or assist in unloading trailer of bulk chemical and fertilizer, safely and efficiently by using forklift, hand truck, or electric pallet jack if a dock is not present

Follow freight handling specifications

Actively follow safety procedures, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required

Keep abreast of the dangers and hazards of products and take proper precaution

Operate vehicle in a manner that demonstrates that safety is a priority

Clean and conduct proper maintenance on equipment

Participate in safety meetings and training programs to remain current on safety policies and procedures

Perform other duties and assignments to meet operational needs of the business

What You'll Bring:

High School diploma or equivalent certificate

Meet minimum age requirement, as permitted by law

Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required

Hazmat and tanker endorsement required

A minimum of 3 years of driving experience

Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and medical requirements

Skilled in documenting mileage and service hours in accordance with DOT log regulations

Comprehensive knowledge of conducting vehicle inspections

An engaged safety-first mindset, committing to safe work practices through Key Daily Actions

Ability to occasionally lift/carry up to 75lbs, frequently stoop and bend at the knees as well as remaining seated for extended periods of time

Flexibility to work additional hours to meet business demands

Compensation & Benefits:

The hourly range for this role, in Atlanta, IL, is between $19.86 - $31.76 . While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location. We provide an attractive benefits package that includes comprehensive medical, dental, vision coverage, and life insurance and well as disability coverage for positions working more than 30 hours per week. In addition, we have a retirement program that encourages our employees to save for the longer term, with generous matching employer contributions. Our benefit package also demonstrates our culture of care with paid vacation, sick days and holidays as well as paid personal and maternity/parental leaves and an Employee and Family Assistance Program. In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
