Job Description
Class A CDL Driver. Local Only. Must have a class A license and a minimum of two years experience driving a tractor trailer. Some straight truck. Must be able to back trailers into docks. Duties Safely operate a variety of commercial trucks Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, adhering to schedules and traffic laws. Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with federal and state regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route changes, or issues encountered on the road. Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and delivery operations. Ability to load & unload freight efficiently and safely using forklifts or other equipment when required. Knowledge of safety procedures related to commercial driving and cargo securement standards. Strong understanding of federal regulations governing commercial transportation. Excellent navigation skills for planning optimal routes across diverse terrains.
