Job Description

Pay Range $27-$29/hr Job Overview Join our team as a Night Shift Driver with a CDL Class A license and become a vital part of our logistics operation! This role offers the opportunity to operate commercial trucks during overnight hours, ensuring timely delivery of freight across various routes. You'll be responsible for safely transporting refrigerated, hazardous, and general cargo using tractor-trailers, including flatbeds and tankers, all while adhering to strict safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles during overnight shifts across over-the-road (OTR) routes. Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring cargo is secured properly using manual handling techniques and following logistics cargo handling protocols. Navigate routes accurately using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Transport refrigerated, hazardous (dangerous goods), flatbed, tanker, and other specialized freight in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and hazardous materials regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking for compliance with DOT regulations and truck loading/unloading standards. Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any issues encountered during shifts. Requirements Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, hazardous materials handling, and manual transmission trucks. Knowledge of GPS navigation systems and over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Ability to handle manual loading/unloading tasks safely and efficiently. Understanding of DOT regulations, FMCSA guidelines, and hazardous materials regulations related to truck driving. Strong commitment to safety protocols and adherence to trucking industry standards.
