Job Description

Job Overview Astrom Transportation, Inc ., an approved service provider for FedEx Ground operating a dedicated, PM home-daily linehaul run in the Fort Wayne/New Haven IN area . We are looking for a professional CDL-A driver who values consistency, safety, and straightforward pay. No games. No bait-and-switch. Just clean runs and clear expectations. Duties Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles. Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment. Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies from tractors and/or trailers. Verify and complete required documentation and reports. Maintain accurate daily logs. Follow dispatch instructions and communicate with dispatch regarding delays, arrivals, or equipment issues. Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies/procedures. Drive an average of 1,430miles per week. Qualification Must possess a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with doubles/triples endorsement ( automatic transmission CDL restriction allowed ). Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience within the last 3 years, or successful completion of the FedEx Freight Driver Development Course. Must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets hiring standards. Ability to sit for extended periods and perform tasks such as bending, twisting, and climbing in and out of the truck. Strong ability to follow instructions and complete required training.
