Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a CDL Dump Truck Driver operating on a 1099 independent contractor basis! In this energetic role, you will be the backbone of our heavy equipment logistics, transporting materials across construction sites and supporting various earth-moving operations. Your expertise will help keep projects on track, ensuring timely delivery of materials like gravel, dirt, and other bulk supplies. Responsibilities Safely operate dump trucks and other heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dozers, and Caterpillar machinery to transport materials efficiently across construction sites. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the safety and functionality of your vehicle and equipment before each shift. Load and unload materials with precision, adhering to safety standards and project specifications. Assist with the operation of auxiliary equipment like horizontal drills, tankers, paving machines, and water trucks when required. Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance needs for compliance and reporting purposes. Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any logistical issues promptly. Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation, construction site regulations, and transportation laws to ensure a secure work environment. Experience Proven experience operating commercial vehicles such as dump trucks in construction or related industries. Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, tankers, paving machines, and horizontal drills. Familiarity with construction site operations and safety procedures is highly desirable. Valid CDL license with a clean driving record; experience with Caterpillar machinery is a plus. Ability to perform basic maintenance checks on trucks and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Strong understanding of transportation regulations and compliance standards applicable to heavy-duty hauling. Prior experience working on large-scale construction projects involving grading, paving, or excavation activities will be advantageous.
