Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport construction materials, debris, and other freight across various job sites and routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route navigation, and cargo handling will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate dump trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, adhering to all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Load and unload cargo efficiently using manual handling techniques or truck loading equipment while ensuring cargo security and proper weight distribution. Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely delivery across over-the-road (OTR) driving routes and local job sites. Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods following hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in compliance with FMCSA regulations. Conduct pre-trip inspections on trucks to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns before departure. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site managers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or safety incidents. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements for tractor-trailers, hazmat, tanker, or refrigerated trailers preferred. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially with freight transportation involving load & unload duties. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving. Experience with route driving using GPS navigation systems for efficient delivery planning. Ability to handle manual transmission trucks and perform manual handling tasks related to cargo loading/unloading. Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling including freight management on flatbeds or tanker trucks. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and adherence to all traffic laws. Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
