Wednesday•Sunday . Start time 6:00 AM (Training period applies up to 3 months.
Work Week:
Mon•Fri 6 AM for the training period.) 8:00•12:00 hours shifts. Texima is a for-profit company in the second-hand clothing industry and a proud member of the Green Team worldwide organization. We are passionate about what we do because we believe that we are responsible to society by developing the recycling and re-wearing of clothes business. We are seeking energetic collection/delivery drivers. Drivers must be able to drive a box truck and work independently to collect bags of used clothing from the outdoor collection sites.
Responsibilities:
Strictly keeping the deadlines Regular visit and service of site locations on daily basis; Transport of goods and equipment; Participate in loading and unloading activities; Comply with Traffic Laws Comply with company rules, working standards, and safety program; Perform periodically equipment inspections, troubling shooting, adjustments, and cleaning of equipment
Requirements:
One year of experience in an industrial environment is preferred but not required Good time management Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work to meet daily targets You must be at least 21 years of age to drive interstate. Experience with driving small trucks (16•22 feet) is preferred but not required Valid driver's license, and clean driving record required. Availability for a night, overnight, and weekend shifts when necessary You must be able to lift, push, and pull large bulky items up to 60 lbs Able to work independently without direct supervision Experience driving forklift is a plus DOT medical Card required Physical requirements: A high degree of physical activity on a frequent basis. Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. Repetitive standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, grasping, climbing, reaching, and moving about the facility Hearing ability to meet safety requirements Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception Exposed to cold/ heat/ humidity
Other Duties:
Perform duties as requested by the management Follow all company policies, procedures, and training Establish and maintain a pleasant work environment and team spirit
