US Foods is hiring a CDL Local Driver to support our wholesale foodservice distribution operations. In this field-based role, you'll operate a CDL tractor-trailer on local routes, delivering food and kitchen supplies to restaurants, healthcare, and hospitality customers. You'll be responsible for safe driving, accurate loading/unloading, and verifying orders while providing friendly, professional service at every stop. Responsibilities Safely operate a CDL tractor-trailer on local routes to deliver food and supplies to customers Load, unload, and verify product accuracy against delivery documents Provide excellent customer service at each stop, addressing basic issues or questions Follow all DOT, company, and food safety regulations and procedures Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and electronic records Communicate with dispatch regarding route changes, delays, and issues Handle pallets, hand trucks, and lift gates to move product safely Adhere to company safety programs and participate in ongoing training Support warehouse/yard operations as needed to meet route schedules Required Skills CDL Class A truck operation Local route navigation and trip planning Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance checks Knowledge of DOT and HOS regulations Forklift and pallet jack operation Lift gate operation and load securement Electronic logs and handheld delivery systems Time management and route optimization Customer service in B2 B delivery environments Safe handling of food and temperature-controlled freight
