Job Description

US Foods is seeking a CDL Local Driver to support our wholesale foodservice distribution operations. In this field-based role, you will operate a CDL tractor-trailer on local, multi-stop routes, delivering fresh, frozen, and dry products to restaurants, healthcare facilities, and hospitality customers. You will perform safe loading and unloading, complete DOT-compliant inspections and logs, and handle temperature-sensitive freight with care. Responsibilities Safely operate a CDL tractor-trailer for local deliveries and pickups Load, unload, and verify foodservice products using liftgates and hand trucks Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain DOT-compliant logs Follow all DOT, company, and food safety regulations and procedures Provide professional, customer-focused service at restaurants and other foodservice locations Maintain accurate delivery documentation and resolve basic delivery issues on site Report equipment, route, or safety issues promptly to dispatch or supervision Collaborate with warehouse and routing teams to ensure on-time, accurate deliveries Handle temperature-sensitive and fragile products with care Participate in safety meetings and ongoing training to support continuous improvement Required Skills CDL Class A truck operation Defensive and safe driving techniques Knowledge of DOT and HOS regulations Local route navigation and trip planning Use of ELDs and basic onboard technology Loading/unloading with pallet jacks and liftgates Paperwork and delivery documentation accuracy Time management on multi-stop routes Basic vehicle inspection and issue reporting Customer service at delivery sites
