Based out of Dubuque, IA, you'll run regional and long-haul routes using modern, fuel-efficient equipment with advanced safety and comfort features. Responsibilities include safe, on-time pickup and delivery, managing reefer temperatures, completing inspections and logs, and communicating with dispatch. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL A tractor-trailer hauling temperature-controlled freight Maintain on-time pickup and delivery across regional and long-haul routes Monitor and manage refrigerated trailer temperatures per load requirements Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and basic equipment checks Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations and policies Accurately handle electronic logs, trip reports, and delivery documentation Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers regarding load status Care for assigned equipment, reporting maintenance needs promptly Practice defensive driving and risk-avoidance in varied weather and traffic Represent the company professionally with customers and the public Required Skills CDL A tractor-trailer operation Refrigerated/reefer trailer operation DOT and FMCSA compliance Electronic logging devices (ELD) Vehicle inspection and basic troubleshooting Trip planning and time management Freight securement and loading oversight Defensive driving techniques Temperature-controlled freight handling Basic computer and mobile dispatch systems
