Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles to transport freight across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Your expertise will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers and commercial trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, on diverse routes such as local deliveries and long-haul OTR routes Load, secure, and unload freight using manual handling techniques and proper cargo handling procedures, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems, planning optimal delivery schedules while adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and hours-of-service rules Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods in accordance with hazardous materials regulations, ensuring safety at all times Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues, maintaining accurate logs in compliance with FMCSA regulations Load and unload freight with attention to safety protocols, managing logistics cargo handling for various types of cargo including refrigerated goods, freight, or specialized loads like tanker or flatbed shipments Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered during transit Skills Valid CDL A license with clean driving record and experience operating tractor-trailers in different configurations such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or tankers Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for truck driving Proficiency in GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments during deliveries Experience in over-the-road (OTR) driving routes with a focus on route driving efficiency and safety Ability to manually handle cargo loads safely while adhering to truck loading and unloading procedures Familiarity with logistics cargo handling techniques for freight management across various vehicle types Excellent driving skills with a focus on safe operation of commercial trucks under diverse weather conditions and road scenarios Join us as a CDL A Driver if you're ready to take your trucking career to the next level!
