Position Overview Houser Farms Inc. is seeking a professional Class A CDL Driver dedicated to the pickup and delivery of hatching eggs . Operating out of our Hiddenite, NC location, this vital position ensures safe, climate-controlled transport of sensitive freight between agricultural hubs. We respect our drivers, prioritize work-life balance through dedicated routes, and keep you moving in clean, new equipment.

Compensation & Benefits Competitive Trip Pay:

Earn steady, transparent weekly income calculated per job/trip. $3,000

Sign-On Bonus:

Payout structured to reward safety ($1,000 at 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year of full-time employment if safety guidelines are met). Paid Time Off (PTO): Fully eligible for 1 week of vacation pay AND 1 week of sick pay after completing 1 year of service.

Assigned Assets:

No sharing trucks—your assigned tractor and trailer stay with you.

Key Responsibilities Specialized Cargo Handling:

Transport and deliver fragile hatching eggs safely utilizing load locks, reefers and liftgates .

Climate Management:

Consistently monitor and manage trailer temperature controls to protect egg viability.

Strict Biosecurity:

Comply with mandatory agricultural sanitation and wash station protocols to maintain flock health.

Rural & Farm Navigation:

Confidently handle a commercial combination vehicle down narrow rural roads, unpaved farm lanes, and tight loading docks.

Compliance & Logistics:

Keep neat electronic logs (ELD), complete regular pre-/post-trip inspections, and manage manifest paperwork.

Qualifications & Requirements License:

Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience (Class A).

Equipment Knowledge:
