$23.00-$29.00 per hour Job Overview Beacon Waste Services is a small, family-owned waste collection company serving communities throughout Southern NH and Southern ME. Since 2017, we've built our business around reliable service, well-maintained equipment, and treating our employees and customers with honesty, respect, and teamwork. We are currently looking for a full-time Route Driver to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants a steady schedule, excellent work-life balance, and a job where you can be home every night. We are looking to fill this position quickly, with an ideal start date in late August/early September. Service Area Our routes cover Southern NH and Southern ME, including: Berwick, North Berwick, South Berwick, Wells, Eliot, Kittery, Kittery Point, Dover, Rollinsford, Somersworth, Barrington, Lee, Madbury, Newmarket, Northwood, Nottingham, and Strafford. Schedule Monday-Thursday Routes typically run approximately 6:30 AM-2:00/3:00 PM , occasionally until 4:00 PM Paid for 40 hours per week , even though most weeks are approximately 32-35 hours of actual route time Friday-Sunday off in almost all cases Fridays are only occasionally required during holiday weeks or significant weather delays Home every night — no overnight routes Responsibilities Safely operate company trash trucks on residential and commercial collection routes Collect curbside trash and dumpsters Perform occasional light walk-up service Complete basic daily truck checks Refuel trucks and top off DEF fluid as needed Report maintenance or equipment issues promptly Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures Work outdoors in all weather conditions Complete assigned routes safely, efficiently, and on schedule Provide professional and courteous service to our customers What We're Looking For Clean driving record required CDL license is a plus, but not required Must have or be able to obtain a DOT medical card (company will assist if needed) Prior commercial driving or waste industry experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person Comfortable working independently while being part of a small team Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly Reliable and punctual Must pass a background check and participate in regular random drug testing Compensation & Perks $23.00-$29.00 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications 40 hours of pay every week , even when actual route hours are typically around 32-35 3-day weekends — Friday through Sunday off in almost all cases Quarterly bonuses Modern, well-maintained trucks and equipment Consistent Monday-Thursday schedule Home every night Small, family-oriented work environment Opportunities for additional responsibility and advancement Applying Having trouble applying through Indeed?
