Job Description
Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong understanding of different types of trucks and trailers, as well as the ability to handle various freight types. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. Responsibilities Operate and drive different types of trucks, including flatbed, Van, dump, and tankers. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and cargo details. Follow all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport. Manage manual transmission vehicles when required. Ensure timely delivery of goods to designated locations while maintaining the integrity of the cargo. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience in truck driving with knowledge of various truck types including flatbed, Dump trailer, and equipment trailers. Ability to load and unload freight safely and efficiently. Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred. Strong understanding of safety regulations related to trucking operations. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with dispatchers and clients. Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
