Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Box Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating box trucks to deliver freight, equipment, and goods across various routes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks to transport freight and goods across designated routes. Navigate using GPS systems to ensure efficient delivery routes while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload cargo manually or with equipment, ensuring proper handling of freight. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, checking for mechanical issues and ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and compliance records. . Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered during routes. Follow all safety protocols related to truck loading/unloading, manual handling, and transportation of freight. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license ( Class D thru CDL B) with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or route driving with a focus on box trucks. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, and safety procedures for trucking operations. Ability to handle manual loading/unloading tasks safely and efficiently. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning for over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures and truck loading/unloading techniques.
