Job Description

As a CDL-A Shuttle Driver for McLane Company, Inc., you will safely transport freight between distribution centers and customer locations within the wholesale and foodservice supply chain. You'll operate modern equipment, perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections, and follow all DOT and McLane safety standards. Responsibilities include securing loads, handling bills of lading, using ELD and routing technology, and communicating with dispatch and warehouse teams. Responsibilities Operate CDL-A shuttle routes transporting freight between Mc Lane facilities and customer locations safely and on time Follow all DOT, company, and safety regulations, including pre-trip and post-trip inspections Secure loads, manage bills of lading, and ensure accurate, damage-free deliveries and transfers Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse teams, and customers regarding schedules and issues Use on-board technology and equipment for routing, logs, and safety compliance Maintain a clean, organized tractor and report maintenance needs promptly Support a team-oriented environment and represent Mc Lane with professional customer service Required Skills CDL-A commercial driving DOT and FMCSA regulation compliance Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance Electronic logging devices (ELD) use Freight handling and load securement Time management and route planning Defensive driving and safety practices Paperwork and bill of lading management Customer service and communication Use of routing and dispatch technology
