In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a box truck to deliver goods efficiently and on time across designated routes. Your energetic approach and commitment to safety will ensure smooth delivery operations while providing excellent customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be an essential part of our delivery network, supporting warehouse operations and ensuring customer satisfaction every step of the way. Responsibilities Safely operate a 26-foot box truck, adhering strictly to traffic laws and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Load and unload cargo using pallet jack ensuring proper weight distribution and safe lifting practices. Manage delivery routes efficiently, utilizing mobile devices for navigation and communication to meet scheduled delivery times. Assist with warehouse operations, including manual handling, moving items, and preparing shipments for delivery. Load and secure cargo properly to prevent shifting during transit, ensuring safety for yourself and others on the road. Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle inspections; report any vehicle issues promptly. Experience Prior warehouse experience or experience in material handling is highly preferred. Proven commercial driving experience with a valid driver's license suitable for operating a box truck; CDL is a plus but not required. Experience with delivery driving, including load & unload procedures and route driving in urban, suburban, highway settings . Familiarity with heavy lifting and safe lifting practices is essential. Understanding of DOT regulations related to weight handling in the workplace and safe driving practices. Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks safely and efficiently. Strong customer service skills combined with a proactive attitude toward safety and compliance on the road.
