Job Description

Looking for an Over-the-Road (OTR) Company Driver to bring on board to drive my manual 2011 International Prostar, providing long-haul freight transportation across the country. This is a 1099 position. In this vital role, you will operate a manual tractor-trailer and 53 foot dry van, to deliver freight safely and efficiently. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route navigation, and cargo handling will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Pay is not hourly or per mile, but by percentage of the loads per week. You will receive 25% of what the truck nets per week. Pay is weekly. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers on over-the-road routes. Plan and follow efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in accordance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Comply with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations during all hours of service. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips; report any mechanical issues promptly. Ensure proper documentation for automobile transportation, freight manifests, and delivery receipts. Skills Proven 2 years experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving across long distances. Familiarity with 53 foot dry van regulations. Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules and regulations. Proficiency with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission trucks is a must. Knowledge of logistics cargo handling processes for freight security and safety compliance.
