Class A CDL Driver / Loader Operator —
Part-Time Location:
Parowan /
Cedar City, UT Job Type:
Part-time, with potential to move to full-time as operations grow
Pay:
$25-$30 per hour, depending on experience About the Role Parowan Gap Aggregates is looking for a dependable Class A CDL driver who can also run a loader and other heavy equipment. This is a hands-on role for someone comfortable moving between the seat of a truck and the seat of a wheel loader on the same shift. Work is currently part-time and schedule varies with production and customer demand. As we continue to grow, this position has a real path to full-time hours for the right person. What You'll Do Haul aggregate and material using end dump, belly dump, and side dump configurations Load trucks and stage material with a wheel loader Perform DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections and keep accurate logs Follow load limits, tarping requirements, and scale procedures Assist with basic equipment maintenance — greasing, fluid checks, tire inspections Work safely around other equipment, ground personnel, and customer trucks Communicate load counts, delays, and equipment issues to the operations lead What You Need Valid Class A CDL with a clean MVR Current DOT medical card and ability to pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen Clear Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse status Verifiable experience driving end dump and/or belly dump trucks Experience operating heavy equipment — wheel loader required; excavator or dozer a plus Ability to work independently and adjust to a variable schedule Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Able to climb in and out of equipment repeatedly and lift up to 50 lbs Nice to Have Doubles/triples endorsement MSHA Part 46 training (we'll provide if you don't have it) Experience working in a pit, quarry, or aggregate operation Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills Why Work With Us Well-maintained, late-model equipment Local hauling — home every night, no over-the-road runs Straightforward operation, no layers of management Growing company with room to take on more hours and responsibility
