Job Summary:

The flagger is responsible for setting up and controlling traffic around construction sites. This is an essential role that directly contributes to public safety and infrastructure development. A flagger is expected to work collaboratively and productively with all members of RG King Companies and its affiliates.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Set up, maintain, and remove temporary work zones. Including warning signs and traffic cones according to PA Publication 213 PATA standards. Load and unload work zone equipment to and from the company vehicle. Drive the company vehicle to and from job sites in a safe manner as needed. Wear and maintain proper PPE in accordance with Rylind Traffic Services policy. Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures. Excellent attendance required. Work well in a team environment and have a good work ethic. Must be able to communicate with contractors and relate specific customer/job changes, and other information to supervisor, project manager, and office staff. Other job duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must have reliable transportation to the job site or Rylind Traffic Services Office.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Must pass a drug screen prior to employment and maintain a drug-free status.

Must be able to work with limited supervision. Valid drivers license (preferred) Satisfactory driving record that meets company vehicle driving requirements Obtain proper footwear to be in compliancy with Rylind Traffic Services PPE Policy.

Education and Experience:

• High school or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly daily.
• Work in an uncontrolled environment.
• Stand for extended periods of time.
• Bend, stoop, kneel, lift overhead, squat, twist body repeatedly.
• Speak, read, write, and comprehend English
• Use of hands repeatedly.
• Walk and climb uneven surfaces unassisted.
• Able to sit for travel to and from job sites.
• Must be able to work the hours necessary in order to achieve the goals of the company.
