Job Description

Job Overview The Fleet Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of a diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment. This role requires a strong background in mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with various types of machinery, including carts, excavators, tractors and mowing equipment. The ideal candidate will ensure that all vehicles are maintained to the highest standards, minimizing downtime and ensuring safety compliance. Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule maintenance and repair work for fleet vehicles and mowing equipment. Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on gas & diesel systems, including transmissions, brakes and hydraulics. Oversee the repair of mechanical components such as suspensions, shocks & struts, and brake systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and fabrication tasks. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed on each vehicle. Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs while maintaining quality standards. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders regarding vehicle status. Ensure compliance with safety regulations during all maintenance operations. Experience Previous small engine experience is preferred but not mandatory. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and mechanical repair is essential. Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators and tractors are highly desirable. Familiarity with schematics related to electrical systems is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required in the maintenance process. Experience in service technician roles or similar positions involving vehicle maintenance is beneficial. Knowledge of farm machinery, industrial equipment, diesel engine repair, assembly processes, tire service, and soldering techniques is advantageous. Candidates should possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A commitment to maintaining high safety standards is crucial in this role.

$28.00 - $35.00 per hour
