In-house terminal in Santa Fe Springs, CA Duties Safely load and unload a diverse range of vehicles onto flatbed trailers. Operate tractor-trailers with automatic transmissions Peterbilt with 80ft-82ft Easy Quick Loader Cottrell trailers. Secure vehicles properly using straps to prevent movement during transit. Drive route-specific deliveries across national areas (west coast-to-east coast), ensuring timely arrivals at designated destinations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery documentation in accordance with DOT regulations. Load and unload freight efficiently. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate pickups and deliveries smoothly. Adhere strictly to safety protocols related to flatbeds in vehicle transportation. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience operating automatic transmission trucks preferred; familiarity with tractor-trailers essential. Proven driving experience in freight transportation, including route driving and delivery services. Ability to load & unload freight safely. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and clients effectively. Physical ability to handle loading/unloading tasks and perform inspections regularly. Ability to work independently while maintaining high safety standards throughout each trip. Nice-to-Have Skills Experience with freight involving specialized equipment like 9 car hauler.
