Workday may consist of 8-12 hours however, this can vary day to day or shift to shift. Much of the work is performed outdoors. Join a Leading Energy and Marine Inspection Team Manpower is seeking a motivated Barge Gauger / Petroleum Inspector to perform quantity and quality inspections of petroleum products, chemicals, and liquid bulk cargoes at marine terminals, barges, tank farms, refineries, and customer facilities. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in oil & gas, terminal operations, marine transportation, tank farms, refinery operations, or cargo inspection. Responsibilities Perform custody transfer inspections of petroleum and liquid cargo products Gauge cargo tanks on barges, vessels, railcars, and storage tanks Measure product levels, temperatures, and water content Obtain representative cargo samples according to industry standards Calculate product volumes using industry measurement standards Inspect loading and discharge operations Complete accurate inspection reports and documentation Communicate inspection findings to customers and terminal personnel Follow all company, customer, OSHA, and safety requirements Work outdoors in varying weather conditions Requirements Requires a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with good math skills and a minimum three months of inspection experience. Must complete Inspector level training and pass corresponding theoretical tests and field evaluations. Must have or obtain IFIA certification after gaining at least six months of industry experience. Must maintain a valid Transportation Worker's Identification Card (TWIC). Possess and maintain a vehicle in good working order, a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance and registration. Must be dependable, able to work independently and be able to effectively communicate and maintain professional relationships with numerous clients (i.e., terminal and vessel/barge personnel). Must pass company defined physical requirements. Must meet and maintain site-specific requirements mandated by customers and/or terminals to have access to all facilities. Pay:
$24.85 - $40.00 per hour
