Christmas Market Parking & Crowd Control Lead

Job Description

Position Overview:
The Parking & Crowd Control Lead oversees all parking operations and guest flow for the Christmas Market, ensuring a safe, organized, and efficient arrival and departure experience. This role is responsible for managing high-volume traffic across on-site and off-site locations, leading a seasonal team, and maintaining clear communication across all parking and perimeter areas. The Parking & Crowd Control Lead also serves as a key liaison with local law enforcement, emergency services, and shuttle services, supporting coordinated traffic management, incident response, and overall event safety. This position plays a critical role in guest first impressions and the safe execution of the event.
Essential Functions:
Oversee all parking and traffic flow operations, including signage, barricades, and lot utilization Monitor capacity and adjust traffic patterns in real time across on-site and off-site locations Coordinate setup and breakdown of parking areas, including cones, lighting, and directional signage Create and manage schedules based on attendance and peak demand Provide clear direction and maintain accountability for team performance Serve as the primary point of contact for parking-related incidents and guest issues Act as liaison with law enforcement, emergency services, and shuttle operators to coordinate traffic control, shuttle movement, and real-time response to incidents Enforce event policies and manage guest interactions professionally Maintain clear radio communication across all parking and perimeter posts Lead, train, schedule, and supervise seasonal parking staff, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts and peak event times All other duties as assigned by
Management Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred Experience in traffic control, security, or large-scale event operations strongly preferred Ability to manage and direct large crowds in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills with the ability to give clear, confident direction Comfortable using two-way radios and coordinating across multiple locations Highly organized with strong problem-solving skills Must be available to work a full seasonal schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (e.g., Thanksgiving and Christmas).

From $24.00 per hour
