Why This Role Matters A great porter keeps the shop running smoothly. They reduce bottlenecks, help technicians stay focused on repairs, and improve customer satisfaction by ensuring vehicles move efficiently through the workflow. Key Responsibilities Vehicle Handling — Move customer and shop vehicles in/out of bays, parking areas, and detailing zones with care. Shop Maintenance — Sweep floors, empty trash, clean workstations, maintain wash bay, and ensure tools/equipment are organized. Customer Flow Support — Greet customers, direct them to advisors, and assist with vehicle drop‑off/pick‑up logistics. Parts & Deliveries — Receive parts, deliver parts to technicians, return cores, and assist with inventory organization. Detailing Assistance — Light interior/exterior cleaning, vacuuming, wiping down surfaces, prepping vehicles for delivery. Safety Compliance — Follow all shop safety rules, PPE requirements, and vehicle movement protocols. Required Qualifications Valid Driver's License with clean driving record Ability to drive manual and automatic transmissions Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness Ability to lift 40-50 lbs and work on feet for extended periods Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment Basic understanding of automotive repair shop workflow (preferred) People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
