Position Summary:

The Automotive Lot Technician/Service Runner hybrid position will be responsible for ensuring that the lot and vehicles are clean, vehicles are staged and ready for display or test drives, as well as assisting customers and supporting dealership staff as needed with efficient movement of vehicles.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday with rotating Saturdays as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Helping to maintain building and company grounds as needed
• Inspecting new and used vehicles off transports
• Assisting sales staff with deliveries
• Shuttle vehicles back and forth from other lots and vendors
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Greet customers in the service drive and assist with vehicle drop-off and pickup.
• Move vehicles safely to and from the service drive, shop, and parking areas.
• Thoroughly cleans the exterior and interior of automotive equipment
• Shuttle customers as needed.
• Support service advisors and technicians with errands, parts pick-up, and other tasks
• Note any unusual or unexplained damage to vehicles and reports incidents to supervisor
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience (required)
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Demonstrates strong communication and customer service skills. (Required)
• Detail-oriented and able to follow instructions with accuracy. (Required)
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a positive team environment. (Required)
• Flexible and willing to work Saturday. (Required)
• Able to walk, stand and work outdoors in various weather conditions. (Required)
• Must be able to lift to 20 pounds occasionally (Required)
• Must be able to bend, squat, stoop, kneel, reaching and perform moderate lifting.
• Frequent walking, standing, and driving

Work Environment:

• May be exposed to noise, dust and weather elements
• Fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Exposure to vehicle exhaust, fumes, cleaning chemicals
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
• Outdoors on the lot and indoors in the showroom
