Job Description

Automotive Detail & Lot Porter Associate (Part - Time) We are a locally owned used car dealership seeking a professional, reliable Automotive Detail & Lot Porter Associate to support daily operations. This full-time position plays a key role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of our inventory while ensuring a safe and efficient lot environment. Position Summary The Automotive Detail & Lot Porter Associate is responsible for detailing vehicles to company standards, moving and staging inventory throughout the lot, performing basic maintenance tasks, and assisting with general dealership operations. This role requires strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Primary Responsibilities Vehicle Detailing — Clean and detail vehicle interiors and exteriors, including vacuuming, washing, buffing, and applying protective treatments. Vehicle Movement & Staging — Safely move vehicles between display areas, service bays, and storage locations; ensure proper spacing and presentation. Basic Vehicle Maintenance — Check fluid levels, replace and charge batteries, fuel vehicles, inflate tires, and report any mechanical concerns. Vehicle Inspection & Documentation — Conduct condition inspections and maintain accurate records, including VIN tracking and vehicle location logs. Lot Organization — Maintain a clean, orderly lot and ensure vehicles are visually appealing and properly positioned. Customer & Team Support — Assist with vehicle pickup, test drive preparation, and general support for sales and service staff. Safety & Compliance — Follow all safety procedures, handle cleaning agents responsibly, and ensure required forms or stickers are properly displayed. General Operational Support — Perform additional duties as assigned, including custodial tasks, parts pickup, and daily vehicle startups. Grounds Maintenance - Assist in mowing, weed eating, spraying for weeds and general labor tasks such as repairing pot holes on our gravel lot. Qualifications Driver's License — Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record and an active private auto insurance policy. Education — High school diploma or GED preferred. Physical Requirements — Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods. Professional Skills — Strong attention to detail, organizational ability, and communication skills. Experience — Prior detailing or dealership experience preferred but not required. Pay:
$18.50 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
