Job Description

Job Summary 1 part-time position open M-F (flexible hours) 1 full-time position open M-F (flexible hours) We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe and engaging environment for dogs in our care. We are a small growing business that has room for advancement. This position is best suited for someone looking for long-term employment. We ask that applicants intend to remain with our company for a minimum of one year. Duties Drive a dog van on a route to pick-up & drop-off dogs daily. Supervise and engage with dogs in play areas, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Provide basic dog care and maintaining cleanliness in the daycare facility. Monitor the behavior of dogs to identify any signs of stress or aggression and intervene as necessary. Assist with heavy lifting of supplies, equipment, or dogs as needed. Maintain accurate records of each dog's activities, health status, and any incidents that occur during their stay. Perform routine cleaning tasks including van upkeep, sanitizing play areas, kennels, and feeding stations to ensure a hygienic environment. Engage in pet grooming tasks such as bathing or brushing as required by the daycare's policies. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior and needs. Requirements Previous experience in animal handling or pet care is preferred but not mandatory. Clean driving record and comfortable driving a 15 passenger van. Must have a valid California drivers license and have been driving for at least 4 years. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 60 pounds) as part of daily responsibilities. Knowledge of dog behavior and handling techniques is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with both dogs and their owners. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare is essential for success in this role.
Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
