Love Talking with People? We Have a Job for You. 5280 Sprinter Service is looking for a dependable, responsible, and observant Vehicle Test & Customer Shuttle Driver to join our team. This is not your typical driving job. A large part of the role is helping our technicians and service team verify completed repairs by test-driving Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans. Sometimes that means a quick drive around the block. Other times, you'll need to put substantial miles on a van or drive it under specific conditions to make sure the repair has resolved the customer's concern. The other part is helping take care of our customers by providing rides to and from their homes, workplaces, or other nearby destinations while their vans are being serviced. We're looking for someone we can trust with both. What You'll Do As our Vehicle Test & Customer Shuttle Driver, you'll support both our shop team and our customers.

You'll:

Test-drive Sprinter vans after repairs and service work have been completed. Follow specific instructions from technicians and Service Advisors about what needs to be tested or observed. Complete everything from short test drives to extended drives requiring substantial mileage. Pay attention to vehicle performance and report noises, warning lights, handling issues, or other observations to our team. Safely transport customers to and from their homes, workplaces, or other approved locations. Provide a friendly and professional experience for customers while representing 5280 Sprinter Service. Treat every customer's vehicle and personal property with care and respect. Assist with moving and parking vehicles around the shop when needed. Communicate with the service team regarding test-drive status, customer transportation, and availability. Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures. You won't be expected to diagnose vehicles or have the technical knowledge of an automotive technician. We will tell you what we're looking for during a test drive. Your job is to drive safely, pay attention, and clearly communicate what you observe. Who We're Looking For You may be a great fit for this role if you: Are a safe, confident, and responsible driver. Have a clean or acceptable driving record. Are comfortable driving full-size vans and larger vehicles. Are dependable and punctual. Have strong attention to detail and notice when something doesn't look, sound, or feel right. Can follow specific instructions and communicate your observations clearly. Enjoy interacting with people and can provide friendly, professional customer service. Are comfortable working independently. Understand the responsibility that comes with driving someone else's vehicle. Take pride in being someone your coworkers can count on. Previous professional driving, automotive, delivery, shuttle, or customer-service experience is helpful, but it isn't required. What You'll Need A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record and ability to be insured. The ability to safely and confidently operate full-size Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans. The ability to sit and drive for extended periods when longer test drives are required. Comfort driving in varying traffic and weather conditions.
