Duties Safely operate luxury motor coaches on city streets, highways, and scenic routes, adhering to all traffic laws and transportation safety regulations. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after each trip to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Navigate complex routes using city street maps and GPS systems while maintaining a professional demeanor. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and passengers using two-way radios to coordinate pickups, drop-offs, and route adjustments. Assist passengers with boarding, alighting, and any special needs or passenger assistance requests to ensure a comfortable journey. Maintain compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, state transportation laws, and air brake requirements when applicable. Provide excellent customer service by creating a welcoming environment, addressing passenger inquiries, and ensuring an enjoyable travel experience. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for motor coach operation; experience with air brake systems preferred. Proven experience in bus driving, shuttle driving, or limousine services; familiarity with paratransit or school bus driving is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge of motor coaches and vehicle maintenance procedures to identify potential issues early. Knowledge of traffic laws, defensive driving techniques, and transportation safety regulations to ensure passenger safety at all times. Ability to navigate city streets confidently using GPS and traditional maps while managing adverse weather conditions effectively. Excellent communication skills in English for clear driver-passenger interactions and coordination with team members via two-way radios. Experience with vehicle inspections, passenger safety protocols, and handling passenger special needs assistance is highly desirable. A clean driving record demonstrating safe driving habits; familiarity with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and state transportation laws is essential.
