To apply please email resume and cover letter to employment@washingtonwaldorf.org, attn: Laur Garner. No phone calls please. Job Description The Washington Waldorf School (WWS) is seeking a part-time Shuttle Bus Driver for our Takoma Park & Silver Spring locations for the 2026-2027 School Year.
Key Responsibilities/Duties include the following:
Transport school age children safely and timely to and from their designated pick up location and WWS. Conduct pre/post safety inspections for each trip. Ensure children are accurately accounted for on attendance logs. Comply with all local, state, and federal transit and traffic regulations. Ensure the proper safety of all children when boarding and disembarking the shuttle bus. Ensure proper vehicle upkeep to include but not limited to being clean, presentable, and fueled for daily use. Report any defects, mechanical issues, and/or safety hazards to your supervisor in a timely manner.
Requirements for the position include:
Valid Driver's License Must be at least 25 years of age Clean Driving Record Successful completion of all WWS mandated training requirements Ability to pass Maryland criminal background check. This position has two shifts. The hours for the morning shift are 6:15 am
  • 8:15 am and the hours for the afternoon shift are 3 pm
  • 5 pm. The compensation is $59.20 for each shift. We are looking for drivers who have any availability Monday
  • Friday to cover any shift.
