Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Treat each client with dignity, respect, patience, compassion, and have empathy for our senior citizens 2. Have a valid Michigan chauffeur's driver's license or be willing to obtain one within two weeks of being hired. 3. Have an excellent driving record. 4. Be familiar with Berrien County roads and destinations. 5. Be able to lift up to 50 pounds. 6. Must be dependable, be able to work flexible hours, and adapt to last minute changes.
WORK CONDITIONS
1. May require long periods of sitting and infrequent breaks. 2. Requires driving in all types of weather conditions, including inclement weather. 3. Be able to make decisions, with coordination with the Transportation Coordinator and/or Executive Director, when driving conditions are unsafe for the client and/or the driver. 4. Requires lifting while making commodity deliveries. 5. Requires assisting all clients into and out of the CCSC vehicles.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Train with a qualified experienced Center chauffeur for at least two weeks. 2. Use the inspection sheet to inspect the vehicle before you use the vehicle each day. 3. Transport clients from their place of residence to their scheduled destination in a timely manner. 4. Complete all deliveries in a timely and efficient manner. 5. Maintain strict confidentially. Negligence in this regard will be grounds for immediate dismissal. 6. Aid clients in and out of vehicles and with door-to-door mobility as requested/required (excluding lifting clients in or out of wheelchairs). 7. Understand the safe operation of wheelchair lifts of the CCSC vehicles. 8. Make every effort to ensure that all clients have properly adjusted seatbelts in place while riding in CCSC vehicles while in operation. 9. Maintain daily records/logs and other paperwork. 10. Wash CCSC vehicles as needed. 11. Maintain and clean the interior of CCSC vehicles. 12. Assist the Transportation Coordinator in routing decisions. 13. Report any problems to the Transportation Coordinator/Executive Director when the need arises. 14. Perform other duties as assigned.
Pay:
From $13.73 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 25.0 per week
