Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Wrecker Driver to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty tow trucks and recovery equipment to assist stranded or disabled vehicles, ensuring safe and efficient vehicle recovery and transportation. Duties Operate heavy-duty tow trucks, including flatbed and specialized recovery vehicles, to tow and recover vehicles of all sizes safely and efficiently Conduct vehicle inspections, perform basic mechanical troubleshooting, and minor repairs to ensure tow trucks are in optimal condition before each shift Secure cargo and vehicles following strict cargo securement protocols to prevent damage during transit Assist with automotive diagnostics and minor mechanical repairs on vehicles requiring towing or roadside assistance Load and unload vehicles carefully, ensuring safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks while adhering to safety standards Manage conflict situations professionally when dealing with distressed customers or roadside emergencies Follow all safety procedures related to vehicle recovery towing, load securement, and operation of mechanical equipment Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record, including experience with commercial truck driving and manual transmissions Proven experience in automotive repair, diagnostics, and basic vehicle troubleshooting Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle mechanics for truck drivers, including minor mechanical repairs on cars and trucks Familiarity with flatbed tow trucks, car towing techniques, vehicle recovery towing, and cargo securement protocols Ability to perform safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks while maintaining high safety standards Excellent customer service skills to assist clients professionally during stressful roadside situations Conflict management skills to handle challenging interactions calmly and effectively Knowledge of driving safety regulations and best practices for commercial vehicle operation Join us as a Heavy Wrecker Driver if you're passionate about automotive mechanics, enjoy active work environments, and thrive in roles that require precision driving combined with technical expertise.
