Job Description
Overview Coastline EMS is looking for a Bus Driver in the greater Pawtucket area. Coastline Emergency Medical Services is a growing, locally owned and managed company and we have plenty of hours available! In this position you will be responsible for providing high quality non-emergent transportation while providing exceptional customer service and for assuring that safety remains the highest priority. Bus Drivers operate a small bus providing door-to-door transportation services to our ambulatory patients, by bringing them to and from doctor's appointments and medical procedures. Completes all appropriate transport paperwork and logs. Maintains vehicle and equipment in a clean, organized and ready condition after each run. Ensures vehicle has proper fuel, fluid and tire pressure levels at all times. Reports equipment damage or malfunctions immediately Join our team as a Bus Driver-Medical Appointment Transport and play a vital role in providing safe, reliable transportation for individuals needing assistance to attend medical appointments. As a key member of our transportation services, you'll be responsible for operating vehicles safely while delivering exceptional customer service with a friendly and professional attitude. Responsibilities Safely operate small bus to transport clients to medical appointments, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and safety protocols Assist passengers, including those with mobility challenges , with boarding, exiting, and securing their belongings Communicate clearly with passengers, healthcare staff, and dispatchers to coordinate schedules and address any concerns or special requirements Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure mechanical safety and cleanliness Maintain accurate logs of trips, passenger counts, and any incidents or delays during transport Provide excellent customer service by demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism at all times Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and local regulations to ensure a secure environment for passengers and staff Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; No CDL required! Experience in bus driving (preferred) with a strong understanding of traffic laws and safety standards Excellent communication skills Ability to work with customers while demonstrating patience and compassion Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage behavior effectively in various situations Physical ability to assist passengers with mobility aids or other needs as required Knowledge of paratransit operations or experience working in healthcare transportation is advantageous Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and professionalism in previous roles involving transportation Embark on a rewarding career that combines driving expertise with compassionate service. Required Licenses and Certifications:
