Salary:

Responsibilities:
As the primary manager of region business operations, the position is accountable for assisting the Region Manager in implementing agency policies, principles, regulations, and applying relevant laws regarding the management of financial, fleet, facilities, equipment, personnel, communications, and information technology resources, in accordance with state law and regulation. This position supervises a diverse staff of professional, technical, and clerical positions/staff toward effective delivery of support functions and activities to all region employees. It provides accounting assistance and data to region management and region program managers for developing and adjusting spending plans. Develops region spending plan for Region Operations budget. This position supports other region programs with financial analysis, reporting on variances, deliverables, and forecasting budget information. It also recommends and, on behalf of the Region Manager, negotiates implementation methods and deliverables for business operations and serves on business-related projects, committees, and assignments toward this end, as assigned by the Region Manager.
Required Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in business, accounting, public administration, or a closely related field; AND (6) six years of professional-level experience with a demonstrated progression in leadership responsibilities in the areas of accounting, public administration, or staff development; OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Experience in accounting, financial management, or budget preparation and administration. Experience supervising a diverse, professional staff, with demonstrated proficiency in positive leadership skills, including team building, transparency, accountability, motivation, respectful relationships, and personal responsibility. Experience with complex planning, project management, and strategic planning in relation to the region and agency.
Desired Qualifications:
A master's degree in business, public administration, natural resource management, or a closely related field. Experience managing business functions for a dispersed field organization; experience managing personnel, technology, accounting, budgeting, and financial resources, fleet, and equipment management; experience directing the activities of a diverse, professional staff. A successful record of improving business or operational systems. Ability to think strategically and envision future scenarios. Experience in mediation, facilitation, and negotiations.
