Job Description

Description World-class customer delivery experiences drive Amazon's flywheel. When customers trust that their orders will arrive on time, they order more — which drives selection, lowers costs, and attracts even more customers. The Customer Delivery Excellence team exists to keep that flywheel spinning by ensuring every link in the supply chain delivers on our promise to customers. We're looking for an analytical problem-solver who wants to apply their SQL and visualization skills to real-world logistics challenges that impact millions of customers daily. As a Business Analyst on this team, you'll analyze operational data across our fulfillment and transportation network, build dashboards that track delivery performance, and surface insights that help leadership make better decisions — all in service of delivering packages on time and in full. Key job responsibilities
  • Build and maintain dashboards and metrics using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) to track transportation performance
  • Conduct business analysis to identify operational trends and surface improvement opportunities for the team
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into data queries and visualizations
  • Create periodic reports and presentations for leadership highlighting key findings and recommendations
  • Execute analytical projects aimed at improving operational performance, with guidance from senior team members A day in the life You'll start your day reviewing data refreshes and validating dashboard accuracy.
You may spend time writing SQL queries to investigate a trend flagged by your manager, then join a working session with a senior analyst to refine a visualization. In the afternoon, you might meet with an operations partner to understand their reporting needs, then build out the analysis using established data models and the team's data dictionary. About the team This team is part of Amazon's Global Transportation Services organization. We are data scientists, analysts, and program managers who leverage customer experience signals to raise the bar on fulfillment and delivery performance.
