We are expanding our US commercial footprint and hiring a Business Development Lead & Operations Manager to drive growth and bring operational discipline to how we scale. This role reports directly to the founder and CEO. Job Summary We are looking for a mid-career business development professional who can also own operational execution. The role is approximately 60% business development and 40% operations. You will own the full sales cycle for commercial accounts, lead responses to government and non-profit RFPs, and partner with the founder on running the company day to day. Key Responsibilities Business Development Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, lead qualification, discovery calls, product demos, proposal development, negotiation, and closing Build and manage a disciplined sales pipeline in CRM with weekly forecast reporting Lead responses to government and non-profit RFPs and RFIs, coordinating inputs from technical, delivery, and compliance teams Identify and develop partnerships with channel partners, systems integrators, research institutions, and complementary platforms Represent TDI at industry conferences, trade shows, and client meetings across the DMV region and nationally Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform go-to-market strategy Feed customer and market insights back to product and services leadership Operations Management Coordinate across US leadership and distributed engineering and delivery teams across time zones Support hiring activities including candidate sourcing, scheduling, reference checks, offer coordination, and onboarding Manage vendor relationships, SaaS subscriptions, and operational tooling Maintain and improve internal SOPs aligned with
SOC 2, ISO
27001, HIPAA, and GDPR requirements Support light financial operations including invoicing, expense tracking, and contract administration Translate executive priorities into project plans with clear owners and deadlines Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or a related field 4-6 years of professional experience in business development, sales, or account management Demonstrated track record of closing deals and driving revenue growth Experience with operational, project management, or cross-functional coordination work Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) Authorized to work in the United States Able to work onsite in North Bethesda, MD Preferred Experience selling technology services or SaaS to government, healthcare, research, or non-profit clients Familiarity with federal, state, or local government procurement processes Familiarity with GSA schedules, SAM.gov registration, or government contracting vehicles Working understanding of compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR) Experience coordinating with distributed or offshore engineering teams MBA or advanced degree What We Offer Competitive base salary plus performance-based commission 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off and paid holidays Direct mentorship from the founder and CEO Clear career growth path into Head of Revenue, Head of Operations, or General Manager of a product line Meaningful work across government services, public health, mental health, and behavioral research
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
