Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Outside Sales Representative - Safety & Risk Management is responsible for developing new business opportunities and delivering consultative solutions that help organizations improve workplace safety and comply with OSHA and DOT regulations.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Prospecting, cold calling, and scheduling appointments Manage sales processes and presentations with business owners Work with current Sheakley partners Maintain positive client relationships Promote and educate employers on the need for creating safer work environments Complete required sales paperwork in a timely manner and finalize new client contracts Accomplish sales goals and quotas established by management Local travel throughout the assigned market area
Skills, Specialized Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills Open minded and coachable Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality Effective problem-solving and critical thinking abilities Organization, attention to detail, flexibility and strong ability to multi-task Ability to work without direct supervision and demonstrate considerable initiative
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred Working knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations preferred Formal sales training (e.g., PSS or similar) is a plus
Requirements:
2+ years of successful B2B sales experience (consultative or solution-based sales preferred) Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets Experience selling to small and mid-sized businesses preferred Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills Ability to build relationships and generate referrals Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently Experience selling complex or intangible services is a plus This job description is not intended to be all inclusive and the employee will also perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor and other management as required.
