Job Description

Job Overview MyGeorgia Credit Union is seeking a Business Development Representative to drive growth and strengthen community relationships. This position is ideal for the person who enjoys making cold calls to businesses and institutions, establishing relationships, and helping increase market share in the communities in which they work. This person must be very outgoing and embrace the challenges associated with growing the size of the Credit Union. Responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, schools, and community organizations. Frequently canvass the different markets and visit potential partners to help meet growth objectives. Represent the credit union at events, meetings, and networking opportunities. Identify new business opportunities and implement strategies to increase membership and lending. Collaborate with internal teams to support marketing campaigns and outreach initiatives. Coordinate projects and deadlines effectively while maintaining attention to detail. Travel regularly between branches and community locations to maintain relationships and represent the credit union. Prepare and deliver presentations to businesses, schools, and community organizations. Coordinate and participate in community outreach programs, including financial education sessions and sponsorship activities. Maintain and track potential leads and community outreach efforts. Assist in the creative design process in marketing materials. Track community outreach. Maintain marketing materials. Identify new marketing leads in different communities. Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development team members to support goals. Provide general support to team initiatives as needed. Qualifications Strong organizational and time management skills. Self-motivated and goal-oriented with the ability to work in a group or independently. Excellent communication and networking skills. Reliable transportation (required). Previous experience in business development, marketing, or sales preferred, but not required. Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends for community events. Professional appearance and demeanor to represent the credit union. Must have good verbal and written communication skills without using AI. Generate creative ideas for events, promotions, and community engagement to drive growth and brand awareness.
