Full-time Responsibilities:
Overview:
Foundations for Living is a secure, residential treatment center for youth ages 10-17 where we offer proven, pro-social programs that capitalize on the strengths of youth with emotional or behavioral problems.
Position Summary:
Responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing the financial operations of the behavioral health residential treatment facility. This includes accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, internal controls, revenue cycle oversight, and compliance with state and federal regulations. The Director of Business Office Services ensures financial integrity and partners with clinical and operational leadership to support high‑quality, sustainable behavioral health services.
Pay:
From $64,000.00 per year. Financial Management & Reporting Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for accuracy in accordance with GAAP. Conduct variance analysis and present findings to leadership.• Develop annual budgets, county budgets, projections, and long‑range financial plans. Assists Central Business Office in month end close, contract issues, collections, etc. Prepares specialized accounting reports, Daily Operating reports, FTE, census and financial analyses for management. Monitors all outstanding accounts of payables and receivables (i.e.,room and board revenue, MITS, pass-through 1292, school/lunch program). Partner with CEO, Directors and CBO staff on financial decisions, provide financial guidance for program expansion, staffing and capital projects Internal Controls & Compliance Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls and fiscal policies. Revenue Cycle Oversight Oversee billing, collections, payroll, IT and accounts receivable. Ensure accurate payer setup for Medicaid, commercial insurance, and self‑pay. Monitor/report on census, authorizations, and reimbursement trends. Support denial management and payer issue resolution. Oversees MITS, PNM, NPI, DOI and Outcome Measures. Audits billings entered in the systems. Operational Accounting Manage accounts payable, procurement, and vendor relationships. Oversee payroll processing and FTE and labor cost reporting. Manages and processes new vendors and CARPACS. Leadership & Collaboration Supervise accounting staff and support professional development. Interviewing, hiring, training; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Partner with CEO, Directors, and Senior Leadership on financial decisions.

Provide financial guidance for program expansion, staffing, and capital projects.

Support cost‑containment initiatives and operational efficiency. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distant, and peripheral vision, color and depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Therapeutic Hold The employee may occasionally be required to physically restrain clients, using authorized restraint procedures as a last resort for protection of residents and staff. Work Environment The work environment for this position is a basic office environment in a facility setting. However, while performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to clients who may ask inappropriate personal questions, display socially unacceptable personal behaviors, use profanity and sexually explicit phrases, make insulting remarks or threats regarding appearance, age, sex, or race, exhibit defiance, dishonesty, and assaultive or self-destructive behaviors.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position.
