Scandinavian Cultural Center & Library Description:
The Scandinavian Cultural Center & Library is seeking a new Board member to help shape our next chapter. As interest grows in meaningful in-person connection, cultural experiences, and weing "third spaces," we believeanizations like the SCC&L matter more than ever. From films, concerts, lectures, exhibits, festivals, and children's programming to our Scandinavian Library, home of over 6000 books in 5 Nordic Languages and the Kaffestugan — our pop-up Scandinavian café — we are building a vibrant cultural home rooted in Nordic traditions while weing new audiences every day.
Qualifications:
We are currently looking for an individual who is passionate about Scandinavian culture, arts,munity, and nonprofit leadership — especially if you have experience or interest in:
  • Fundraising & development
  • Marketing μnications
  • Community outreach
  • Executive management
  • Finance or strategic planning
  • Community partnerships/sponsorships
  • Expanding access and engaging younger generations Most importantly, we are looking for people who care about helping create connection, curiosity, andmunity.
Whether you have deep Nordic roots or simply believe in the importance of cultural spaces, we would love to hear from you. An interest in Scandinavia isa must.
